This mission matters because bipolar disorder affects more than 47 million people worldwide. Behind every diagnosis is a human story—a person longing to be understood, a family seeking support, and loved ones navigating the challenges of mental illness together. No one should have to face that journey alone.
The Be There Movement is built on the belief that even small actions can create meaningful change. Every conversation, every shared story, every act of support helps break the stigma surrounding bipolar disorder and brings us closer to a world where people feel safe seeking help and speaking openly about their experiences.

Each part of the movement strengthens the others, creating a powerful ripple effect of awareness, education, support, and hope. Together, we can build a world where those affected by bipolar disorder feel seen, supported, understood, and never alone.
The Be There Movement was inspired by the vision and mission of Dr. Linsey Willis. Her goal is to empower people living with bipolar disorder to speak openly about their experiences, seek help without fear of stigma, remain engaged in treatment, and support others facing similar challenges.
